A good coach will also point you to the most useful tools and tell you which ones are worth the money and which ones aren’t.

Now, to play the internet marketing game you’re going to need a few things to be in place. To start with you’re going to need a Domain Name. There are a few important things you should know before choosing your domain name so make sure you get coaching on it. There are a number of sites where you can register your Domain name for as little as $2.00 each. Godaddy is one of the more popular and very reasonably priced.

You’ll need a website or blog to direct people to, so they can find out about you and your product or service. Its’ not necessary to spend lots of money on website design in the beginning, in fact these days you can set up a professional looking website or blog free. You can either Google “free websites” from which you will receive a bazillion possibilities or you can use one of the more popular sites either Blogger or WordPress. I’ve used both and you can’t go wrong with either.

An autoresponder service will also be a necessary system. This is the system that manages your advertising campaigns, your prospects, and your customers. You can get free autoresponder service on the web but you can not get support for them. Not the kind of support you’ll need. Among the more well known are Aeweber and Constant Contact. Both are great services and well worth the money.

Monetizing your site is simple enough. If you have your own product you’ll use that. If not, there are plenty of companies and product developers who would love for you to promote their product. Sites such as Clickbank and Commission Junction will provide the companies and products you can promote.

To sell any product online will more than likely require a well written capture page. if you are promoting your own product you’ll have to develop an effective capture page. If you google “lead capture page” you will find more than enough support. Thankfully affiliate products will come with their own lead capture pages and they are generally customizable to fit your needs.

Once your site is set up you’ll want to get to the business of diverting traffic. Sites such as facebook, twitter, LinkedIn and myspace will be the source of that traffic. Automating your presence on these sites will be very help in keeping your name in front of thousands of people. You automate using downloadable bots such as Tweetank, but I prefer online services. Hootsuite and Social Oomph are the two I use. That way if my system crashes or if I have power outages my business still runs.

As you start to have a presence on the internet and make money there will many variations of thing s you can add. But for the time being this information should suffice and keep you busy for a while.
